Dietician - Nutrition (Travel Position)

Work Schedule

36 hours per week
Scrub color/attire: Navy

Unit Information

Unit size: 372 beds
Staff on unit: 2 (Day shift: 1 CNM, 1 full-time RD; no night shift)
Patient ratio: 10-15 patients per Registered Dietitian (RD)
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Expanse
Floating areas include: CVICU, MICU, IMU, Medsurge, Post-Surgical, Bariatric

Job Description

Perform nutrition assessments, Nutrition-Focused Physical Exams (NFPEs), patient education, and manage tube feeding (TF) and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) orders
Conduct in-services for dietary staff
Work independently in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) license in Texas
CDR Registered Dietitian (RD) license
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), including recent experience within the last year
Experience working in an acute care hospital setting
