Occupational Therapist (Pediatric Rehab) - Illinois

Job Details

• Location: Peoria, Illinois
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days
• Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Schedule: Monday-Friday (3 days 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 2 days 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• Setting: Outpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation
• Patient Population: Birth to 18 years old
• Patient Volume: Up to 10 patients per day, including 45 treatment sessions and 90-minute evaluations
• Common Diagnoses: Sensory processing challenges, brachial plexus injury, fine motor delay, Autism, etc.
• Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Weekends optional but require inpatient experience; no holiday work expected
• Dress Code: Scrubs preferred

Required Qualifications

• License: Active Illinois Occupational Therapy license or proof that application process has been initiated
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) required; can be completed upon hire
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of pediatric occupational therapy experience
• Drug Screening: Must pass a negative drug screen for all panels (drug-free campus)

Additional Information

• Orientation includes 12 non-billable hours with a preceptor and department-specific binder
• OT Manager/Supervisor may be available but not always onsite
• No Rehab Aides or COTAs staffed
• Must provide last 4 digits of SSN, middle initial, and requested time off during submission
• Call-off policy allows up to 12 hours off every 13 weeks without penalty or shift payment
• Local rate adjustments apply for clinicians living within 50 miles (not relevant for pay details here)
