Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Acute Care Hospital
Location: Saint Cloud, Minnesota
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital (Magnet, Teaching, Level II Trauma)
- Total Staffed Beds: 479
- Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Weekend Requirement: Every 5th weekend (both Saturday and Sunday)
- On-call: To be determined based on unit requirements
- Block schedule accommodation: TBD based on unit needs
- Charting System: Epic
- Parking: Free in any unrestricted space (North Lot)
- Floating: May be required within scope to meet facility needs (TBD)
- Local candidates: Not accepted if living within 25 miles of the facility
- Return to Office (RTO) restrictions: No RTO within first week; max 10 days RTO per assignment
Required Qualifications
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Minnesota
- Minimum 1 year of Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check within 1 year of start, including:
- 7-year search, SS trace, counties, sex offender, nationwide
- Education verification (diploma acceptable with proof of verification attempts)
- International background checks if candidate lived/worked outside the US
- GSA/SAM and OIG excluded provider checks required
- Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprint clearance required before start (no pending fingerprints allowed)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Drug testing: 9-panel test within 1 year (not required annually)
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Tdap vaccination required (no religious declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per MN state guidelines (2-step PPD or equivalent within 90 days)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) positive titer or 2 vaccines required (time sensitive)
- Varicella positive titer or 2 vaccines required (time sensitive)
- Hepatitis B vaccination, positive titer, or declination
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination required annually (mask required if declined)
Additional Requirements
- Two references from recent employers within 2 years required
- Skills checklist required for all clinical candidates
- Education modules to be completed during orientation (approx. 16 hours)
- Dress code must be reviewed prior to start
- Photo for badge required (grey background, no selfies, JPG format)
- Confidentiality agreement must be signed prior to start
- Badge must be returned on last day of assignment
Notes
- Candidates must complete the Minnesota DHS NetStudy Fingerprint Questionnaire immediately after signing contract to proceed with fingerprinting.
- Candidates must complete fingerprints within 2 weeks of registration; if not within driving distance of a livescan location, travel to a location is required before assignment start.
- Background checks and immunizations must be current and compliant before start date.
- Contracted hours are guaranteed.
