Description

Cath Lab Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Stuart, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse, Cath Lab
  • Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week for 10-hour shifts
  • On-call required
  • Floating required within scope to three nearby hospitals (within 20 miles)
  • Block scheduling not accommodated
  • Local candidates accepted at same rate
  • Start date: Next applicable orientation date approximately 3-4 weeks out

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Florida
  • Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, with experience within the last year
  • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during hours of service
  • Background checks: 7-year criminal history check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including international if applicable
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
  • Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting mandatory if no prior clearance)
  • Primary source verification of Florida RN license within 30 days of start
  • NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start
  • Physical exam within 6 months of start
  • Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year of start, updated annually; chest x-ray and TB questionnaire if past positive
  • Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (vaccines, titers, or declinations as applicable)
  • Negative 10 panel drug screen within 1 year of start (drug screen does not require annual update)
  • Seasonal influenza vaccination required during flu season (10/31-3/31); medical/religious exemptions allowed with approved documentation
  • COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required with documentation uploaded prior to start
  • Two professional references within 2 years required for travel nurses
  • Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually) required
  • Pass/fail testing for EKG and medication/pharmacology competency during orientation (2 attempts allowed per test)

Additional Notes

  • Facility issues radiation badges to applicable candidates
  • Candidates must be nicotine-free; positive nicotine/cotinine test results will disqualify
  • Modules and onboarding process may take multiple days; candidates must prioritize completion
  • Candidates with a break greater than 6 months between assignments at this facility will require re-orientation and module completion
  • Candidates must watch training videos fully before taking tests during onboarding modules; skipping videos results in lockout
