Description

Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Specialty: Oncology Infusion
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8 hour shifts)
Patient Ratio: 1:7
Setting: Outpatient clinic
Charting System: Epic (Excellian)
Parking: Free in any unrestricted space
Scrub Color: Navy
Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
Block Schedule: Accommodated
Locals Accepted: No (must be outside 100-mile radius)
Pending License: Accepted
Return to Office Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Minnesota
Minimum 2 years of Oncology experience, with Oncology experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Chemotherapy Certification (ONS/ONCC)

Special Requirements / Clinical Skills

Experience with all oncology diagnoses requiring infusion
Familiarity with GI/GU diagnoses needing infusion
Management of OB fluids, nausea/vomiting regimens
Experience with research protocols, migraine protocols, and antibiotics
Skills in BCG, cystoscopy, and intrathecal chemotherapy administration

Additional Notes

Guaranteed hours may be subject to cancellation of up to 3 shifts without penalty
On-call hours do not count toward guaranteed minimum hours
