Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Location: Minot, North Dakota
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide critical care nursing for ICU patients, including comprehensive assessments, medication administration, and advanced therapies. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care and participate in safety and quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and ongoing monitoring of critically ill patients, responding promptly to changes and escalating concerns as needed.
• Administer medications, vasoactive infusions, blood products, and advanced therapies per ICU protocols and individualized care plans.
• Assist physicians with complex procedures, manage ventilators and invasive lines, and accurately interpret and document clinical data.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, ICU processes, and discharge expectations.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team during rounds and throughout shifts to coordinate care and promote continuity.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and engage in unit-based safety, quality, and performance improvement activities.
• Floating to other units as required.
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday.
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius allowed.

Shift

• Any shift (Straight evenings/nights available)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Dakota
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
