Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) Travel Position

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

Unit: Operating Room Surgery
Beds: 28
Patient Ratio: 1:1
Typical Procedures: Orthopedics, Gynecology, Urology, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Plastics, Spine, Neurosurgery, Trauma
Equipment Used: TAVR, MAKO, DaVinci Robotics
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech / CPN
On-call Requirement: 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month with a 30-minute response time

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Acute care experience
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with DaVinci Robotics
Experience in orthopedic, neurology, and vascular nursing
Prior experience with Meditech EMR

Work Environment & Culture

Day Shift Staffing Example: 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1-3 sitters
Emphasis on patient care experience and effective communication with staff and providers

Additional Notes
