Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry (Night Shift)

Location: Mayfield Heights, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Unit: Medical/Surgical Telemetry
• Hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum 1.5 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing

Onboarding & Compliance

• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)
• Baseline competency exams in medication administration and ECG interpretation during orientation (passing scores required)
• Primary source verification of RN license within 30 days of start
• Nursys verification within 30 days of start
• Candidates with gaps longer than 6 months since last assignment at this health system may need to repeat orientation modules and competency exams
• Candidates must carry government-issued photo ID at all times during assignment

Additional Notes

• Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing; facility will also conduct fingerprinting onsite
• Candidates can start with fingerprint results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start
• Medical and religious exemptions for vaccines require agency approval and facility review
• Physical exam documentation must include provider address and note latex allergy if applicable
• Candidates with facial hair failing N95 fit testing must shave or submit approved exemption for PAPR use
• Employment application must include at least 3 years of prior work history with 2 years in acute care and similar clinical area

This position is ideal for experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RNs licensed in Ohio or compact states, comfortable working night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment with strict compliance and credentialing requirements.
