Registered Nurse - ER (Night Shift)

Location: Beaufort, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Night shift schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Immediate start preferred
• Work within a 50-mile radius restriction
• Facility is a Magnet, Major Teaching, and Level I Trauma Center
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• EMR system used: Meditech
• Required skill: IV start

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (AHA only)
• IV start proficiency

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service
• Criminal background check required within 6 months prior to start (or within 30 days for new candidates)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• NURSYS verification required for RN license
• Completion of facility-specific Relias training modules (~81 modules) prior to first shift and orientation
• Badge photo required (no hats, sunglasses, altered images)
• Signed job description and confidentiality agreements required
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands of the position
• Immunization and health screening requirements including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination form)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella titers or vaccinations (or declination)
  • Hepatitis B positive titer or vaccine series (or declination)
  • Varicella titer or vaccinations (or declination)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination form
  • COVID vaccination or declination form
• Drug testing: 10-panel within 6 months prior to start (or within 30 days for new candidates); instant tests not accepted
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Performance evaluation required if previously completed assignments through any agency
• Skills checklist must be updated annually

Additional Notes

• Facility requires strict adherence to documentation and compliance standards
• Candidates may log up to 8 hours for orientation and training completion
• NIH Stroke Certification required only for Med Surg RNs (not specified for this ER role)
• Chemo certification not required for this position
