Description
Registered Nurse - Rapid Response
Location
- Denver, Colorado
Employment Type
- Travel contract
- Contract length: 6 weeks
Work Schedule
- 48 hours per week
- No special scheduling or return-to-office requirements
- Caps required after accepting the assignment
Unit Information
- Surgical Robotics (Med/Surg) unit
- 24 beds
- Patient ratio: 5:1
- Staff on night shift: 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, 1-2 techs
- EMR system: Meditech
Typical Procedures
- Post-operative assessments and care
- Post prostatectomy care
- Post hysterectomy care
- Continuous bladder irrigation (CBI)
- Pain management including PCA and epidurals
- Foley catheter maintenance
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
- Rapid Response experience
- Med Surg experience
- Experience with MEDITECH EMR system
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
