Description
Registered Nurse (Emergency Department) - Travel Assignment
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Nights, 7 PM – 7 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse coordinates and implements patient care tailored to the age and needs of the patient population on the assigned unit. Ensures quality, efficient, and safe care consistent with unit standards. Demonstrates professionalism and respect toward staff, physicians, patients, and families.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial patient assessments and prioritize care based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
- Systematically re-assess patients to monitor progress and identify when interventions are needed.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, measurable plans of care within established nursing standards.
- Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on patient evaluations and modify care plans accordingly.
- Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning.
- Document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs.
- Perform various Point of Care testing procedures.
- Meet applicable leadership competencies related to self, others, and team leadership.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico.
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year.
Licenses & Certifications
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification.
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Certification.
- Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Certification.
Work Schedule
- Full-time, night shift (7 PM – 7 AM)

- This is a backfill/replacement travel assignment.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
