Electrophysiology Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4x10 hours)

  • 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM (includes 2 days per week late case coverage)
    Hours per Week: 40

Job Description

  • Work in Electrophysiology (EP) Lab performing cardiac electrophysiology studies, ablations (atrial flutter/fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia), cardioversion, device implants (pacemaker, defibrillator, Watchman, Aveir), device explants/lead extractions, and specialized procedures such as Head-Up-Tilt test and Internal Loop Recorder placement.
  • Use hemodynamic monitoring and EKG settings in inpatient and outpatient settings, including obtaining vitals and sinus node rhythm interpretation.
  • Operate Philips and Siemens X-Ray machines, GE Micropacer, with preferred experience on 3D mapping systems (Biosense, Abbott/ESI), ultrasound equipment, and laser lead machines.
  • Preferred skills include use of groin closure devices, peripherals, and laser lead extraction.
  • Preferred work settings include trauma and children’s hospitals.
  • Average daily caseload: 18 patients.
  • Charting system: Cerner and GE Cardiolab.
  • Medication dispensing system: Pyxis.
  • Scrubs provided.
  • No on-call or weekend requirements.
  • No floating required.

Required Qualifications

  • Electrophysiology Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Completion of at least one prior travel assignment.
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International certification)
  • Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Proficient with Cerner electronic charting system.
