Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Inverness, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Overview

• Cath Lab and EP Lab with:

  • 2 cath lab rooms
  • 10 pre & post procedure beds
  • 6 holding beds
• Staff: Approximately 20 (RNs and CVTs)
• Shifts: 10-hour day shifts with call; night shift staffing also available
• Patient Ratios:

  • Lab: 1:1
  • Holding: 2:1
  • Pre/Post: 4:1
• Equipment: GE imaging, Volcano, Rotoblator, Angiojet, IABP, Impella, Penumbra, Inari
• EMR Systems: Cerner and Merge hemodynamic system
• Procedures performed:

  • Heart catheterizations and interventions
  • Peripheral catheterizations and interventions
  • Structural heart procedures including TAVR, Mitra Clip, Watchman
  • Pacemaker and ICD implants
  • EP studies and ablations
  • PFO & ASD closures
  • Carotid stents
• Work Environment: Very dynamic and busy with an advanced cardiac program including residents and cardiac fellows

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
• Minimum of 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Structural Heart procedures
• Experience in Electrophysiology (EP)
