CVOR Tech Travel Opportunity

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36


Job Description

  • Work in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) specializing in open-heart procedures.
  • Must be competent and independent in vein harvesting using the Maquet Hemopro 2 system.
  • Unit details:
    • 3 beds, 15 staff members
    • Day shift Monday-Friday with on-call after hours and weekends
    • Patient ratio 1:1
    • Procedures include CABG, valve surgeries, TAVR standby, laser lead standby, thoracic robotic-assisted surgeries, and general emergent open-heart procedures.
  • Floating area includes Main OR.
  • Dress code: hospital scrubs.
  • Rotating weekends on call required.

Required Certifications and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist, with experience within the last year
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
  • American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) certification
  • Assessment for the First Assistant role or demonstrated knowledge concerning hazardous drug risks as defined by USP 800
  • Independent vein harvesting capabilities (vein procurement)

Additional Information

  • Candidates without vein harvesting capabilities will not be considered.
  • Must be able to work independently in vein procurement.
  • Typical patient care involves a 1:1 patient ratio in a high-acuity CVOR setting.
