Description
Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Night Shift)
Location: Easton, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: July 13, 2026
Job Details
- Shift: Night shift, either 3 or 4 twelve-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Hours per week: 36 or 48 hours accepted
- Schedule: Every other weekend required (4 weekends in a 4-schedule cycle)
- Holidays: Required as scheduled
- Patient Ratio: Typically 1:5, up to 1:6 with low/safe acuity (rare)
- Floating: Required within specialty, lower acuity units, and a sister facility as needed
- On-Call: Not required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Required Health and Background Documentation
- Background Checks:
- 7-year criminal history within 30 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Education verification for highest level completed
- Maryland State Exclusions List check within 30 days of start
- Health Requirements:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility protocol, updated annually
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start (specific mask models required)
- Negative drug screen (9 or 10 panel plus Fentanyl) within 30-90 days of start
- Immunizations or titers for:
- TDaP (within 10 years or signed declination)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters or declinations accepted with documentation)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters or declinations accepted with documentation)
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or declination; series not accepted)
- Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required annually (not required for remote workers)
- COVID-19 vaccine not required for this location but documentation or declination collected for tracking
- Additional Facility-Specific Documents:
- Photo for badge (passport style with solid background)
- Signed job description and confidentiality agreement prior to start
- Completion of orientation and facility policies review
- TB questionnaire if positive TB history
- Various exemption and declination forms as applicable
Additional Information
- Orientation: Held at 8 AM on Tuesdays at the facility’s School of Nursing; dress code is royal blue scrubs or business casual initially
- Epic Training: Eligible candidates may test out of Epic training based on prior experience; otherwise, full training required
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers accepted
