Facility Overview
- Level II Trauma Center
- Level III NICU
- Magnet Designation
- Primary Stroke Center
- 933 beds
- COVID-19 vaccine required
Work Schedule
- 8-hour evening shifts, 32 hours per week
- Weekend rotation: maximum every 3rd weekend
- On-call duties Saturday and Sunday nights (9:00 PM – 6:30 AM) and backup on-call during the day (6:30 AM – 9:00 PM)
- 30-minute response time required for on-call
- Weekend on-call occurs approximately once every 8 weeks and includes on-site Saturday hours with a compensatory weekday off
- Holiday work based on unit needs
- Time off requires Nurse Manager approval
Patient Population & Caseload
- Weekly census: 250-300 patients
- Patient types include outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department
- Experience preferred with patients having implantable devices, neurological, oncology, musculoskeletal conditions, ventilated, sedated, whole body, and cardiac cases
Equipment & Systems
- GE Discovery 750W MRI
- Siemens Aera MRI
- Siemens Magnetom Skyra MRI
- EPIC electronic health record system
- McKesson PACS
Orientation & Support
- 3 days of orientation
- Support available from Lead Technologist/Coordinator and Imaging Assistants
- Traveler will never work alone
- No floating; MRI only
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of MRI experience
- ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification
- BLS certification
- Experience with GE and Siemens MRI scanners
- Experience with cardiac MRI preferred
