Dietitian Travel/Contract Position

Location: Cottonwood, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Clinical Dietitian (Dietary Services)
• Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week (Monday-Friday), 8 hours per day (5x8s)
• Some Saturdays may be required depending on patient census
• Average patient visits per day: 12
• Floating required to a nearby medical center
• Blocked scheduling with guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Locals accepted
• No on-call requirements

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) license in Arizona
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential with a minimum of 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID (passport alone not accepted)
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, SSN trace, sex offender search, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
• Education verification (diploma or official transcripts accepted if verification pending)
• Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to perform essential job functions
• Fit mask (N95) test within 1 year, updated annually; onsite fit testing available if needed
• Immunizations and titers required or proof of immunity for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (preferred within last 10 years or declination)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer, 3-dose series, or declination)
  • Varicella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
• Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or Tspot) within 1 year, updated annually; chest x-ray and TB questionnaire required for past positives
• Drug screening (10-panel) within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination form required; mask-wearing mandatory if declined
• COVID vaccination series or signed declination form required
• Completion and signing of facility-specific confidentiality, substance abuse, professional attire, and job description forms prior to start
• Two professional references required (one from most recent employer within 1 year)
• Employment application covering last 3 years with documented gaps over 30 days

Additional Notes

• Unit manager approval required for time off requests
• Facility may call off up to 6 times during the 13-week assignment
• Medication administration standards (e.g., BCMA) must be followed
• Candidate must be prepared to float to a nearby medical center as needed
