Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical

Location: Jasper, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Job Description

• Work on a 29-bed adult medical-surgical unit with primary diagnoses including pneumonia, heart failure, cardiac issues, encephalopathy, infections, wounds, acute kidney injury, stroke/TIA, and more.
• Potential to float between medical-surgical-like departments.
• On-call/call-back requirements vary and are negotiable.
• Weekend and holiday shifts as needed, including possible July 4th or Labor Day coverage (subject to discussion).

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Current Indiana RN license.
• BLS certification required at time of application.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills.
• Ability to deliver safe, efficient care in high-acuity environments.
• Adaptable, resilient, hard-working, and able to manage change well.
• Good communication skills and a social, team-oriented attitude.

Additional Information

• No local candidates within a 40-mile radius will be considered.
• Scrub color: navy; no competing health system or agency logos allowed on scrubs.
• Attendance policy: 3 call-ins may result in termination.
• COVID-19 vaccine is not currently required but subject to change.
• Guaranteed hours may not apply during orientation week or holidays when the unit is closed.
