MRI Technologist - Brookfield, CT

Job Type

• Contract Clinician
• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform high-quality MRI studies ensuring patient safety.
• Operate imaging and related equipment for diagnostic imaging on various body areas, including advanced studies.
• Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and address concerns with tact and courtesy.
• Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic injection technique.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and other customers.
• Train new technologists and patient coordinators; provide direction and quality checks.
• Troubleshoot MRI scanner and peripheral equipment to prevent downtime; escalate complex issues as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of high school or its equivalent (GED).
• ARRT (R) (MR) certification.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 1 year of MRI technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
