Physical Therapist Travel Job – Dallas, Texas
Job Details
- Position: Physical Therapist (PT)
- Employment Type: Travel contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Location: Dallas, Texas
- Shift: Either 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Acute care setting with approximately 899 beds
- Patient ratio: 1 therapist to 12-14 patients
- Staff includes day shift teams with various clinical roles
- EMR system used: Meditech
- Floating areas include both rehab and acute care units
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
- Experience in a Rehabilitation setting
- Experience in a Long Term Care setting
Preferred Skills
- ICU experience
- Wound care experience
Typical Procedures
- Patient evaluation and treatment in acute and rehab settings
Work Environment & Policies
- Dress code: Hunter green scrubs
- Nail policy: No fake nails, dips, or gels; nails must be cut short
- Weekend rotation: At least 2 weekend days every 4-week block, including holiday shifts
- Personality fit: Positive, collaborative, and proactive communication style
