Registered Nurse - ICU (Dallas, TX) - Travel Assignment
Job Details
- Location: Dallas, Texas
- Employment Type: Travel
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
- Unit: Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
- Number of Beds: 16
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:2
- Shift/Workdays: To be discussed during the interview
- Call Requirements: To be discussed during the interview
- Scheduling: Flexible, schedule provided about one month in advance
- Floating: As needed
Unit & Equipment
- ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, GE Cardiac Output monitor
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Assignments based on patient acuity and nurse skill level
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred
- Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and hypothermia protocols
- Meditech documentation experience preferred
Dress Code & Appearance Guidelines
- Scrub color: Royal Blue for RNs
- Nails: Clean and healthy; no artificial, gel, or next-gen nails allowed
- Hair: Neat and clean; no extreme styles or colors; hair shoulder length or longer must be pulled back in the lab
- Facial hair: Must be clean and neatly trimmed
- Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible; exceptions handled individually
- Piercings: Only ear piercings allowed; no visible nose, tongue, or other piercings
Additional Notes
- Attendance policies follow company-wide standards
- Floating and unit guidelines apply as per hospital policy
