Description

Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Assignment

Location: Augusta, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours (typically Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with some schedule flexibility)


Unit & Work Environment

  • Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit with 28 beds
  • Patient caseload: 4-6 patients, treating 3-5 patients daily on average
  • Staffing includes 2 therapy techs on weekdays and 1 on weekends
  • Equipment available: hi-low mats, Nustep, parallel bars, steps, balls, weights, car simulator, Bioness L200 and H300, BITS interactive computer system
  • Documentation system: Meditech
  • Schedule includes 2 weekends during a 13-week rotation, with 2 weekdays off during those weeks
  • No floating to other units
  • Dress code: Black scrubs and closed shoes

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in Georgia
  • Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • De-escalation Skills - Healthcare Setting
  • Experience in inpatient rehabilitation
  • Completion of an assessment of physical therapy skills or education on managing hazardous drug risks according to USP 800 standards
