Registered Nurse - Med/Surg/Observation (Day Shift with Call)

Location: Globe, Arizona
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Job Details

• Specialty: Medical-Surgical Nursing with float to Observation unit as needed
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Hours per week: 36 hours
• Call requirement included
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Maximum of 3 days off requests allowed during the contract
• Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts during the assignment; guaranteed hours do not apply

Required Certifications and Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum 4 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Flu vaccine required with no exceptions

Additional Requirements

• Must be willing to float between Med/Surg and Observation units
• Must not have a permanent address within 100 miles of the facility (100 Mile Radius Rule)

Experience

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position

Summary

This is a 13-week contract for an experienced Med/Surg RN willing to work 12-hour day shifts with an added call responsibility. The role requires flexibility to float to the Observation unit and adherence to a strict geographic restriction for travelers. Flu vaccination and current ACLS/BLS certifications are mandatory.
