Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Springfield, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Overview

• Critical Care Unit with 8 beds, adult patients only (no pediatrics)
• Patient-to-nurse ratio typically 2:1, sometimes 3:1 depending on staffing and acuity
• Patient diagnoses include DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, post heart catheterization
• Unit is not specialized but offers a wide variety of patient care
• Staff includes experienced nurses with long tenure in the community
• Equipment includes Mindray Datascope monitors
• Documentation system: MedHost
• Scheduling: Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Floating may be required
• Unit has monitor tech support and unit secretaries/tech availability

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, ABCP
• Advanced knowledge and skills in managing ventilators and care of central venous catheters (CVC lines)
