Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Hospice

Job Description

Provide and coordinate home nursing care according to physician orders and agency policies.
Directly supervise and evaluate Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses.
Manage an average caseload of 5-8 patients per day.
Types of visits include Start of Care, Wound Care, and Follow-up Visits.
Work primarily hospice cases within the Alamance-Orange territory.
Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic, averaging about 60 miles traveled per day.
Schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8 hours).
Some positions may have a 4x10 schedule (Friday-Monday), but most are standard 5x8.
On-call requirement: approximately 1 day on-call; weekend requirements vary and should be discussed during the interview.
Use of electronic medical records system HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) and proficiency in OASIS required.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
Minimum of 1 year of hospice experience within the last year.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Experience working with adult patients.
Experience in a home health setting.
Proficiency with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) and OASIS.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
