Job Opportunity: CST/ORT - Operating Room

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• 5 days per week
• Approximately 36 hours per week
• Shift times: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Flexibility for day/evening hours as needed
• On-call requirement: 1-2 shifts per week from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Unit Information

• Operating Room with 14 OR beds
• Staff includes 70 full-time equivalents
• Day shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 1 RN and 1 Surgical Technician (ST) per OR, plus Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) and Anesthesia Technicians (ATs)
• Night shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 1 RN, 1 ST
• Patient ratio approximately 1:1 (estimated)
• Trauma team available
• Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech

Typical Procedures

• Neurosurgery and transplant surgeries
• Orthopedic and spine surgeries

Required Qualifications

• Valid Certified Surgical Technologist license in Colorado
• Certified Surgical Technologist with at least 6 months (0.5 years) of experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• CST or NBSTA certification
• DORA certification
• Experience in an acute care setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Level I trauma experience
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
