Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location: Plymouth, New Hampshire

Job Description

• Urgent backfill position; must be able to start ASAP pending compliance.
• Must be proficient and experienced in all aspects of patient care from check-in through discharge.
• Candidates must live outside a 50+ mile radius from the facility (no local candidates).
• Care management includes assessing patient needs, establishing and implementing care plans, and evaluating patient progress.
• The unit manages high-risk pregnancy cases including:

  • Preterm labor
  • High blood pressure
  • Diabetes
  • VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean Section)
  • Prenatal testing and amniocentesis
  • Childbirth education classes

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery / OB experience.
• Fetal Monitoring experience required.
• Current certifications (must be valid and in hand at time of submission):

  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • AWHONN certification
  • NRP certification
• Active RN license in good standing.
• Labor & Delivery skills checklist from within the past year.
• One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment.
• Permanent address must be included in submission.
• Previous travel experience is highly preferred but not mandatory.

Additional Information

• This is a small, critical access facility; week-long requests for time off (RTO) cannot be accommodated.
• The area offers scenic outdoor recreation, cultural activities, and proximity to mountains, lakes, and cities.
