Pharmacist Travel Position - Denver, Colorado

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Overnight (7:30 PM – 6:00 AM), 7 days on / 7 days off
• Hours per Week: 36
• Location: Inpatient Pharmacy, 2nd Floor

Unit Information

• Unit: Pharmacy
• Number of Beds: 406
• Pharmacy Staff: Approximately 30 pharmacists
• Night Shift Staffing: 2 pharmacists in unit dose, 1 in IV, 1 in satellite; overnight staffed by 1 pharmacist with additional pharmacist support available
• Equipment: Pyxis machines, CII safe
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech and Vigilanz

Job Responsibilities

• Order verification and final medication verification
• Perform clinical dosing per established guidelines
• Document clinical tasks using Vigilanz software

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pharmacist license in Colorado
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in an acute care setting
• De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certification
• Completion of PGY1 residency
• Inpatient pharmacy experience
