Registered Nurse – Rehab (Travel/Contract)

Location: Rio Rancho, New Mexico
Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital (acute inpatient rehab only)

Job Details

• Shift: Night, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 – 7:15)
• Hours per week: 36
• Contract length: 8 weeks
• Start date: July 20
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend required
• On-call: Not required
• Floating: Not applicable

Job Description

• Experience in inpatient hospital or rehab setting required
• Ability to fill in as charge nurse as needed (ACLS certification required if in charge nurse role)
• Patient population: acute inpatient rehab with average stay about 14 days
• Work environment values motivated, caring individuals who contribute skills and input
• Attire: Navy blue scrubs and close-toed shoes
• Charting system: Cerner
• Parking: Free

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience in rehabilitation nursing, including experience within the last year
• Experience in inpatient and rehabilitation settings
• Experience in charge nurse roles
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

• RTO (Request Time Off) must be approved at time of submission; no approvals after offer
• Call-outs require more than 24 hours’ notice
• Facility is a hospital environment, not a nursing home or LTAC
• No mileage reimbursement
