Description
Registered Nurse - Endoscopy (Travel Assignment)
Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Call Requirements: 1-2 days per week (no weekends or weekend call)
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Overview
- Unit Type: Endoscopy
- Number of Beds: 2 procedure rooms
- Staffing: 2 RNs and 3 Techs on day shift; no night shift staff listed
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Equipment: GI equipment and scopes
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
- Permanent positions available on unit
Typical Procedures
- EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)
- Colonoscopy
- GI Bleeds management
- ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support)
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience specifically in Endoscopy required; candidates without this experience will not be considered
- Flexible personality fit
Dress Code
- Facility provides scrubs in Ceil Blue
- Hospital scrub color is Navy
