MRI Technologist - Contract
Location: Moses Lake, Washington
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary
Provide technological imaging services specializing in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) in an outpatient clinical setting. Work independently while maintaining timely and efficient service.
Essential Functions
- Perform MRI and MRA examinations in collaboration with physicians to obtain meaningful diagnostic information.
- Understand and follow hospital and departmental protocols and examination procedures.
- Operate and troubleshoot MRI equipment; perform quality assurance on films and equipment.
- Schedule and review daily exams, including managing corrections, additions, and cancellations.
- Administer contrast injections and manage contrast dosage appropriately.
- Apply infection control principles and ensure patient safety, including MRI Safety Level 2 training (annual).
- Maintain patient confidentiality and respond to patient needs professionally.
- Follow safe work practices to prevent injury, including knowledge of equipment safety, infection control, fire and disaster protocols, and safe lifting/body mechanics.
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct consistent with organizational standards.
- Participate in professional development through seminars, workshops, and affiliations to stay current in the field.
Required Qualifications
- Valid MRI Technologist license in Washington
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Radiology Technologist experience
- BLS certification
- MRI Safety Level 2 certification
- Associate's degree in MRI technology, radiography, or a related field such as biology or anatomy, followed by completion of an MRI technician training program
Physical Requirements
- Occasional standing, walking, lifting/pushing up to 50 lbs, reaching, kneeling, bending, stooping, and pulling.
- Good eyesight for reading.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately.
Schedule
- Friday: 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Monday: 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM
Additional Information
- Up to 24 hours of on-call availability may be required during the assignment at no additional cost.
