Description
MRI Tech - Travel/Contract
Location: Centerville, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures independently using proper techniques and contrast media administration. Coordinate patient flow and Radiology Department activities. Maintain equipment and may perform procedures in other imaging modalities as needed. On-call responsibilities possible.
Work Schedule
- Day shift, 4 days per week (4x8 hours)
- Shift hours: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Total 32 hours per week
- Must be available to work every other holiday
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- Associate degree in Allied Health with a major in Radiologic Technology
- Experience with GE Healthcare equipment
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ARRT certification
- Ohio Department of Health (ODH) certification
Licensure
- Valid Ohio Radiologic Technologist license (primary source verification required)
Certifications & Competencies
- BLS (AHA) current and valid
- Must pass unit-specific competency exams within 2 years prior to start
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required within 2 years
- Respiratory protection medical clearance and fit testing required before working on certain units
- Physical exam within 2 years indicating fitness for duty and free of communicable diseases
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray documentation required; annual TB questionnaire if past positive
- Drug screening within 12 months, including marijuana panel; must be negative
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- Other health immunizations or titers preferred or required: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (vaccination series, immune titer, or declination)
Background & Screening Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check including SSN trace, national and multi-state checks, and sex offender registry
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Fingerprinting not required for this role/unit
- Education verification (primary source) required
- Two professional references within 2 years required (one must be a manager/supervisor); employment verification accepted if references unavailable
- Current resume/application required
- Skills checklist updated within 1 year required
Additional Information
- Must be fitted for N95 respirator before working on high-risk respiratory units unless PAPR is provided/needed
- Employer reserves the right to cancel shifts or contract with notice and without penalty
- Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives
- Request time off (RTO) must be submitted with initial application; no additions after offer
- Compliance with all facility-specific documentation and credentialing processes is mandatory
