Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech

Location: Seattle, Washington

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must have experience in all X-ray procedures and operating C-arms during surgery.
• Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours on weekends (day shift 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; night shift 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
• On-call is voluntary and appreciated but not required.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• Previous permanent employees of any affiliated facility must have a minimum 3-month separation before qualifying for this travel position.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Washington.
• Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year.
• Certification: ARRT (Radiologic Technologist).
• Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support).
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation.
• Fit mask test required for travel candidates starting on or after 2/5/2024; must be updated annually.
• Immunizations and screenings required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years; declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season (9/1–3/30); declination accepted
  • COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations not required but unvaccinated must follow infection prevention policies
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start (instant tests acceptable).

Background and Compliance

• Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly.
• Education verification required for all candidates.
• State-specific searches and registry checks as applicable.
• WA State Patrol Search required within 90 days of start for Washington placements.

Competencies and Training

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
• Competency exams required by specialty.
• Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp).
• EPIC training modules required as applicable.

Additional Requirements

• Float policy acknowledgment: may be required to float to other nearby facilities.
• Passport-style badge photo with neutral background may be required depending on location.

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
• On-call shifts are voluntary.
• This position requires working weekends primarily.
