Job Opportunity: Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM), occasional 8:30 AM starts
• Rotating weekends: 1 weekend every 4 weeks
• Must be flexible with scheduling and adhere to a strict zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• May be required to float to other facilities within the health system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist, with experience within the last year
• Must be a Registered Echo Technologist with ARDMS or RDCS certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Social Security Card (required for badge issuance)
• Background check within 60 days of start date covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years, including aliases, criminal, sex offender, federal court, and education verification
• Foreign equivalency education evaluation if education was obtained outside the U.S. (must be submitted within 30 days after start if applicable)
• Education verification and High School Diploma/GED verification required
• Employment application/resume with 7-year work history
• Verification of all employment history within the last 5 years through a third-party vendor
• Two supervisory references required from clinical assignments within the last 24 months (at least one within 12 months)
• Badge photo meeting strict facility requirements (no selfies, solid color background, business casual or uniform attire, forward-facing)

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or ARC approved
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – AHA or ARC approved (commonly required for cardiac-related specialties)
• National tech certification: ARDMS or CCI (RDCS or RCS) required for Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (required)
• Pass/Fail Testing (EPIC or Dysrhythmia/EKG) may be required depending on unit
• Other certifications (e.g., PALS, NRP, NIH Stroke Certification) as applicable based on unit or specialty

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start (including THC, opiates, cocaine, amphetamines, etc.)
• Fit mask test (N95 respirator) completed within the current calendar year and updated annually (exceptions apply)
• Proof of adult Tdap vaccine
• Negative TB test (Qgold/TSPOT) within 6 months of start or chest X-ray if positive history
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer or declination)
  • Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (9/22/2025 – 2/27/2026)

Additional Requirements

• Completion of health history form and upload prior to clearance
• Completion of facility-specific documents including floating policy and contractor equipment acknowledgement
• Workday login and onboarding tasks must be completed prior to start
• Fingerprinting (NC SBI) required only if mandated by position (not applicable for this role)

Important Notes
