Description
Registered Nurse (PCU RN for ER Holding Area)
Location: Savannah, Georgia
Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
Assignment Length: Approximately 13–14 weeks
Job Overview
- Provide care for patients boarded in the Emergency Room holding area.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 4:1
- Patient types include Med-Surg, Sickle Cell, heart failure, and telemetry patients requiring drip titration.
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license at time of submission.
- Minimum of 2 years recent PCU nursing experience OR 1 year recent PCU experience combined with 1+ years in Telemetry, ER, or ICU.
- Successful completion of at least 1 previous travel nursing assignment is required.
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Must have a clean license record (no license hits); a current NURSYS report is required with submission.
Additional Requirements
- Strict 100-mile radius rule: local candidates within 100 miles are not accepted.
- References must be from recent assignments in the same specialty/modality.
- Resume must include:
- Number of beds and trauma level of all facilities worked in the past 3 years.
- Employment type for each position (permanent, travel, or PRN).
- Number of shifts worked per month if PRN.
- Full availability including all requested time off must be provided.
- Start date must align with compliance timelines.
Onboarding & Orientation
- Orientation occurs weekly with Monday start dates (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday).
- Onboarding must be completed at least 7 calendar days prior to the start date.
Interview Process
- Interviews conducted by managers at their convenience.
- Candidates should expect a call from a 912 area code; voicemail will be left if unanswered.
- Allow 48 hours before requesting follow-up on interview status.
Notes
- Quick start requests require prior approval by the MSP Quick Start Onboarding Team.
- This position requires night shifts (12-hour shifts).
