Description

Job Opportunity: MedSurg / PCU Nurse - Night Shift

Location

Newport, Vermont
Small town near the Canadian border, part of the Northeast Kingdom
Area offers outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling
Limited public transportation; personal transportation strongly recommended

Position Details

Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift (7 PM to 7 AM), including every other weekend rotation
Hours per week: 36
Facility size: 25-bed critical access hospital
Must be able to work independently and perform charge nurse duties
Floating required to other units as needed (Emergency Department, Mother/Child Health)

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Vermont
Minimum 5 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, including within the last year
MedSurg and Telemetry experience
Experience in charge nurse roles
BLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Information

Agency professionals must attend quarterly department education sessions
Support provided for transition into the community and workplace environment
