Description
Registered Nurse (MS/Tele) - Travel/Contract
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Shift: Night (4x12 hours), 18:45 - 07:15
Hours per Week: 48
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Float Requirement: Yes, may float to main campus (~32 minutes away)
Call Requirement: No
Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
Job Description
- Care for patients with diagnoses including diabetes, dementia, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, encephalopathy, GI bleed, anemia, hip fracture, CHF, UTI, surgical recovery, renal failure, hypertension, cellulitis, failure to thrive, and more.
- Unit uses Pyxis for medication management and electronic documentation systems.
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Scrubs: Navy blue or white
- Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start.
- Contract staff may be assigned to Storm/Hurricane Teams and required to work during catastrophic events or disasters.
Required Skills & Experience
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience (minimum 2 years)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
