Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) - Operating Room

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Certified Surgical Technician with broad surgical knowledge and experience across multiple service lines including general surgery, gynecology, robotics, neurology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma. The position is based in a large hospital with 815 beds, recognized for clinical excellence and safety.

Unit Information

• Unit: Operating Room
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Scheduling: Variable schedule with call required
• Floating: May float to other departments
• Dress Code: Scrubs provided by facility

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 2 years of experience
• Experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Surgical Technologist Assessment or USP 800 Hazardous Drug Risk certification

Skills and Experience

• Broad surgical knowledge with experience in:

  • General surgery
  • Gynecology (GYN)
  • Robotics
  • Neurology
  • Orthopedics
  • Plastic surgery
  • Urology
  • Burn and trauma
• Advanced surgical skills required
• Experience performing a variety of procedures on the unit

Hours

• Approximately 36 hours per week
