Interventional Radiology Travel/Contract Job - Seattle, Washington
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Interventional Radiology Tech)
- Location: Seattle, WA
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- Call: Once a week overnight, every 5th or 6th weekend
- Patient Mix: Approximately 50% inpatient / 50% outpatient
- Patient Diagnoses: Biopsies, GI, GU/Renal, Peripheral Vascular, Pulmonary, CT, Endovascular Lab, Stent Placement
- Medication System: Pyxis
- Documentation System: EPIC
Unit Information / Clinical Requirements
- Experience with:
- Y-90 chemo delivery
- GI bleeds
- TPA administration
- Vein sampling
- Phase 2 recovery
- Candidates must meet all clinical requirements for the unit.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Washington
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist within the last year
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; updated annually
- Education verification required
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years; declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months; updated annually
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; declination accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer; declination accepted
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations not required
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for respirator use
- WA State Patrol background search required within 90 days of start (state law)
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years of employment
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
Additional Requirements
- Must acknowledge and comply with float policy (may be required to float to other nearby facilities)
- Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
- Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
- Color blindness testing if required by unit
- Radiation badge issued by facility if applicable

- All previous permanent employees of any affiliated facility must have a minimum 3-month separation before qualifying for this travel position.
- Badge photo not required for this specific facility.
- Epic training modules required; transcripts must be submitted and verified.
- Physical exam and immunizations required if onsite; some requirements may be waived for remote or non-patient-facing roles (not applicable here).
- Fit mask testing required onsite unless a valid record exists within 1 year.
- Drug screen must be negative; marijuana results may be accepted unless prohibited by state law.
