Registered Nurse (Emergency Department) - Travel Position

Location: Jefferson City, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in a 16-bed Emergency Department with a patient ratio of approximately 4:1 (variable).
• Responsibilities include triage, critical thinking, patient assessment, IV/IO insertion and management, chest tube management, catheterization, and managing critical care drips.
• Must demonstrate competency in cardiac monitoring and critical care assessment and management.
• No call, no floating, and no 48-hour shifts required.
• Request time off (RTO) must be submitted in advance and made up at the end of the contract; blackout period applies on Labor Day.
• Scrub color required: Royal Blue.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems used: FirstNet and Cerner.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
