Sonographer Position – Massachusetts, Jamaica Plain

Job Details

• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Work Hours: 36 hours total

  • Friday: 7 PM – 7 AM
  • Saturday: 3 PM – 7 AM
  • Sunday: 3 PM – 11 PM

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Valid professional license for Sonographer in Massachusetts (Primary Source Verification required within 30 days of start; conditional licenses not accepted)

Health and Safety Requirements

• Fit Test: N95 respirator fit test within 365 days of start date, updated annually; no exemptions allowed
• Respirator Medical Clearance: Required if fit test is required; must be completed prior to fit testing
• Immunizations:

  • Documentation of two doses each of measles and mumps vaccines, and one rubella vaccine, or two MMR vaccines
  • Alternatively, proof of immunity via blood test
• TB Testing:

  • Documentation of TB skin test within 3 months of start date, updated if break >6 months
  • Or negative QuantiFERON TB Test or T-spot within 3 months, updated if break >6 months
• Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start, updated if break >6 months
• Optional: If positive TB test, documentation of negative chest x-ray after positive test

Professional and Background Checks

• Criminal Background Check: Within 45 days prior to start, updated if break >6 months; includes international residence/travel history for last 7 years
• Massachusetts CORI Check: Within 30 days prior to start, updated if break >6 months
• Social Security Number Trace: Must be run with criminal check, covering last 7 years
• National Sex Offender Registry Check: Within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Exclusion Checks: Within 30 days prior to start and annually; includes OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid lists
• Education Verification: Verified through background check company; highest level of education must be confirmed

Submission Requirements

• Resume: Must include past 7 years of work experience with city and state for all entries
• References: Two references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher in the relevant skillset
• Skills Checklist: Must be completed within 1 year of submission
• Candidate Submission Coversheet: Required for initial assignment and new facility submissions
• Confirmation of Assignment/POI Form: Required upon acceptance of assignment and for extensions

• Name change documentation may be required if credentials do not match current legal name
• Fit testing cannot be performed onsite; must be completed prior to start date
