Description

Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Travel)

Location: Plano, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

Specialty: Medical Oncology
Unit Size: 30 beds
Staff: 52 members
Shift Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 5-6 RNs, 2-3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), 1 Unit Secretary
- Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 5-6 RNs, 2-3 PCTs
Patient Ratios: Maximum 5:1 or 6:1
Equipment: Standard medical equipment
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
On-call and floating requirements: None
Staff start times: Required to be present by 6:45 am/pm and attend huddle at 6:53 am/pm

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

Oncology nursing experience

Gastrointestinal (GI) procedures
Gynecologic Oncology procedures
