Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location

- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:30 to 7:00)
- Weekends as needed
- May float to other facilities as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Ohio
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current NBRC certification
Certifications (as applicable)
- ACLS (AHA only) required for Emergency Department assignments
- PALS and NRP required only for Neonatal ICU specialty (not required for this role)
- Current NBRC credential for CRT or RRT candidates
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check required prior to start; must be updated if break in service exceeds 2 months
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start; must be completed before onboarding
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Employment application must include 3 years of prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting relevant to the assignment
- Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
Health and Safety Requirements
- Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to safely perform job functions
- Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) within 12 months of start; must be updated annually
- Negative 2-step TB test or equivalent within 6 months of start; annual renewal required
- Required immunizations or titers for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella with boosters if titers are negative or equivocal; no declinations accepted except for Hepatitis B (signed declination allowed)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; annual renewal required; one retest allowed for dilute results
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31); no declinations accepted
Onboarding and Facility Requirements
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules (4-5 hours) prior to start; must be completed on a computer using Chrome browser
- HIPAA orientation and safety manual acknowledgement required annually
- Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start; must be updated annually
- Unit-specific skills checklist required; must be updated annually
- Badge photo required prior to start; badge must be obtained from the facility after completing modules
- I9/E-Verify attestation required before start

- All work history, including any previous assignments at this facility system, must be included in the candidate profile
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
- All required certifications and documents must be submitted with the application
- Scheduling and time-off requests must be communicated during submission and interview
This position is ideal for experienced RRTs licensed in Ohio seeking a travel contract with night shifts and the opportunity to work in a large acute care setting with potential floating to other facilities.
