Description

Medical Lab Technician Travel/Contract Position

Location: Hastings, Minnesota
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital (Teaching hospital, Level 4 trauma)
Beds: 29
Shift: 5x8 hour shifts, Days/Evenings (various day shifts 6am-11pm) and Nights (19:00-7:30 or 21:00-7:30)
Hours per Week: 40

Job Requirements

Medical Lab Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience
Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel assignment
ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) national certification required
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Phlebotomy experience
Blood bank experience including ABO/Rh/Antibody Screen & ID, AHG Crossmatch, blood banking procedures, Crossmatch-Immediate Spin/IgG, Direct Coombs (DAT), Electronic Crossmatch, Rhogam Screening, and Transfusion Reaction Workup
Chemistry experience including Arterial Blood Gas, Cardiac enzymes, Immunoassay, Review & Interpretation of QC, Specimen Preparation, Therapeutic Drug Monitoring, Thyroid testing, and Tumor markers
Hematology/Coagulation experience including Automated Instrument use, Manual differential, Fibrinogen, Occult Blood, Platelet Count, and Sed Rate Manual
Immunology/Serology experience including Body fluids and Rapid test kits general use with knowledge of controls
