Description

Job Opportunity: Oncology Chemo Certified Registered Nurse

Location

  • City: Lacey, Washington

Employment Type

  • Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 5 days a week
  • Day shift: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week)
  • Start times typically between 7:15 AM and 7:45 AM
  • No holidays or weekend shifts
  • Shifts may vary; work until last patient is seen

Job Description

  • Outpatient Infusion/Oncology RN role
  • Patient population includes:
    • Oncology patients receiving chemotherapy/immunotherapy
    • Hematology patients
    • Non-oncology infusions (rheumatology, GI, neurology, pulmonology)
  • Approximately 85% hematology/oncology and 15% non-oncology infusions
  • Experience with infusion center, outpatient oncology preferred (inpatient oncology experience may be considered)
  • Skills in IM subcutaneous injections and therapeutic phlebotomy required

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
  • Minimum 1 year of oncology experience, with oncology experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Chemotherapy certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience in an outpatient setting
  • Experience with intramuscular (IM) and subcutaneous injections
  • Therapeutic phlebotomy experience
  • Infusion experience
