Registered Nurse - PCU (Columbus, Ohio)

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)

Job Description

• Must be able to pass the telemetry test.
• Experience in monitoring telemetry patients preferred.
• General nursing skills required including IV starts, monitoring, labs, medication administration, and patient education.
• EPIC electronic health record experience required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PCU - Progressive Care Unit, with at least some experience within the last year.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Telemetry experience.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement.

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references required; at least one must be from a manager or formal leadership.
• Completion of skills checklist and employment application required.
• Completion of unit-specific competency exams as assigned.
• Annual review and acknowledgment of dress code, hand hygiene, ethics, and compliance policies.
• Completion of Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate prior to start and annually thereafter.
• Background check and fingerprinting results must be clear before start; pending fingerprint attestations accepted under specific conditions.
• License verification and NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start.
• NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on unit assignment.
