Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Nights)

Location: Salida, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract (12 weeks)
Shift: Nights (6 PM – 6 AM), 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
Schedule: Every other weekend required; no mandatory overtime (overtime allowable)

Job Description

• Provide acute care and swing bed patient care following evidence-based practices
• Evaluate patient health status through data collection and assessment
• Deliver health teaching and counseling to patients
• Administer supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly or via delegation, supervision, or teaching
• Execute delegated medical functions and review therapy/treatment plans
• Accurately document all assessments, interventions, teaching, and care coordination in medical records
• Collaborate with ancillary departments and physicians to address medical, social, and spiritual patient needs in a culturally and age-appropriate manner

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado
• Minimum of 3 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
