Description

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location: Red Bud, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP

Job Description

Provide nursing care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit.
Patient ratio approximately 5-6:1.
Night shift staffing model includes 1 RN and 2 LPNs.
No float, on-call, or call-back requirements.
Weekend and holiday shifts scheduled as needed.
Charting experience with Medhost required; training provided.
Work environment values resilience, adaptability, and social engagement.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
Minimum 3 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Completion of at least 2 prior travel nursing assignments
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

No local candidates within a 40-mile radius will be considered.
Scrub color is flexible (any color allowed).
COVID/Flu vaccine religious or medical exemptions accepted.
Guaranteed hours exclude orientation week and holidays when the unit is closed.
