Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights

Location: Lawton, Oklahoma

Job Summary

Provide high-quality, compassionate, and timely care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced, 36-bed Emergency Department serving approximately 59,000 patients annually. Responsible for rapid assessment, prioritization, intervention, and evaluation of patients presenting with emergent, urgent, or non-urgent conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive and focused patient assessments.
• Triage patients using evidence-based protocols to determine acuity and initiate care.
• Provide rapid intervention and stabilization for medical, surgical, traumatic, psychiatric, and pediatric emergencies.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per hospital policy and provider orders.
• Operate and monitor medical equipment including cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, and point-of-care testing devices.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, EMS personnel, and other healthcare team members.
• Coordinate patient care including diagnostic testing, re-evaluation, disposition planning, and patient education.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in rapid response, trauma activations, code blue, stroke, and STEMI protocols.
• Adhere strictly to infection control, safety guidelines, and hospital standards.
• Support a culture of patient-centered care, empathy, and service excellence in a high-volume environment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) and ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certifications preferred within a timeframe after hire.
