Description

Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position

Location: Atlantis, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel

Unit and Work Environment

Unit: Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (42 beds, newly established)
Equipment: Therapy equipment, new technology available
Documentation System: Meditech
Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
Floating Policy: Primarily within the Inpatient Rehab Unit
Dress Code: Grey scrubs

Patient Population and Experience Requirements

Patient Experience: Minimum 6 months in acute care, skilled nursing facility (SNF), or inpatient rehab unit

Required Qualifications

Valid Occupational Therapist license in Florida
Occupational Therapist with 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
Experience in a Rehabilitation setting
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
OTR (Occupational Therapist Registered) Certification
De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting

Skills and Abilities

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Efficient time management
Ability to incorporate weekend shifts into a 5-day workweek is a plus
